Bra Sizing in Canada, Explained

Because Canada follows the US system, Canadian bra sizes work like this:

  • The band. Bands are even numbers from 28 to 48, set by rounding your underbust measurement to the nearest even inch — 32, 34, 36 and so on.
  • The cups. Cup letters run AA, A, B, C, D, DD, DDD, G, H and beyond, with each step representing roughly one more inch of difference between bust and band.
  • Bilingual labels. In Quebec and on national packaging you will often see English/French labels, but the numbers and letters are the same US system — "34C" is "34C" in both languages.
  • Cross-border shopping. Many Canadians order from UK or European stores. Cup letters match US sizing only up to DD; above that, convert — a US 34DDD is roughly a UK 34E, and a US 34G is roughly a UK 34F.

Ordering From UK or European Brands

  • Hunting for a "Canadian size". There isn't one — Canada uses US sizing, so a 34C in Montreal is a 34C in New York.
